It is for anyone. You can just put your name in where it asks for business name.

It is just through their small business section. But anyone can buy.

Default Warranty & Processer upgrades- Good strategy?

A couple of open questions

1. They want $50 for an extra 256 MB DDR SD RAM ( to make 512mb with 2 DIMMS total) I figure this is not that great of a price and it's easy to upgrade later.
I figure i coudl find a little better price at Fry's later.

2. FOR SAME reason I think the Processor upgrade is a little steep- but worth the extra $100 to go with the
Intel® Pentium® M Processor 735 (1.70 GHz/2MB Cache/400 MHz FSB)
rather than
Intel® Celeron® M Processor 370 (1.50 GHz/1MB Cache/400MHz FSB)

I do some photography and think it will help - and it is something that must be done at purchase time- Not upgradable later.

Sound like a good strategy? I am going for the larger monitor too.

There is not a SD reader. Most Laptops don't have one. I have not seen anything that goes in the PCMCIA slot either. (Doesn't mean there isn't one) But you can always by a usb card reader. They're small and cost about $8

Default Distribution of WalMart laptops on BF

Ok, so I've been watching this board for a few days now, ever since the WalMart ad came out with the laptop. I've decided to attempt to try and get the HP Pavilion laptop on BF, but I was wondering if anybody knows how WalMart's going to distribute them. The last time I was at BF at WalMart was two years ago and my mom and I were going after three different things with only two people. I was after a DVD player, which they had on the store floor, covered in brown paper wrap and she was after the Kodak digital camera, in which she had to stand in line and receieve one from an employee. I kind of figure that they're not going to have the laptop out on the floor, especially with such a little amount given to each store. Do you think they'd do it the same way they did the camera in the past, at a counter somewhere in the electronics department? I really want to get this thing, so we're showing up at 3 I believe. YAY for having a 24/7 WalMart and not having to sit outside! Any comments would be appreciated, thanks!
