Easy Gel Air Freshener Recipe I don't do many crafts but this is easy enough for even me!GEL AIR FRESHENERThis is a wonderful Air Freshener, because you can make this any scent that you want. Ingredients: 2 cups of distilled water Essential oil/fragrance oil of your choice 4 packages of Knox gelatin Food Coloring (Optional) 2 Tablespoons of Salt Heat 1 cup of water almost to a boil. Add the gelatin and stir until dissolved. Remove from heat and add the other cup of distilled water, 10-20 drops of oil/fragrance, salt, and food coloring if desired. Stir until well dissolved. (The reason for adding salt to this is toprevent mold from growing.)Pour the mixture into clean jars and set at room temperature overnightuntil set, or you can place the jars in the refrigerator if you need them to set morequickly, but be aware that the smell will permeate the fridge. For storing this gel, your can use small baby food jars, or an emptyvotive candleholder, any kind of glass jar or bowl will do. I like to look around atgarage sales for small empty glass bowls. I found some really neat Mason Jar Glass withhandles at the dollar store. Any container will do. You can decorate these jars or bowls up by using some small ribbon to tiearound the lid of the jar. If you wanted to get really crafty you could use scrapsof pretty material you might have around the house and hot glue this to the jar or bowl, then tie around the lip with ribbon. You could also use stickers, wrapping paper, thelist is endless. These can really be made up cute to give as gifts for the Holiday. Youcan also get some netting from the fabric store and glue across the top of containerand hot glue lace or ribbon. The combinations are endless. Be creative. If you do not want to go to the expense of buying essential/fragrance oiland food coloring, you could buy the concentrated potpourri (available at most craftstores, candle shops, or even your local dollar store)and use 2 cups of thepotpourri instead of the distilled water and the procedure would be the same. Just make sure if you buy the potpourri, it is the concentrated kind or it will not retain itssmell. You can even cut the recipe in half if you want to make up several differentscents. Some of the different essential/fragrance combinations I have used are asfollows: Strawberry/Vanilla Mulberry Peach/Almond French Vanilla/Almond Cinnamon Blueberry/Vanilla Black Cherry
