| I've heard them mention codes to use on Woot. 1. Where and how do you find them? 2. How do you use them? 3. I'm really curious about this one...........WHAT IS A WOOT OFF? I like Woot alot but sometimes people get really nasty when you ask qustions and treat you like your a complete idiot. So can anyone please help me out? |

| I'll be more than happy to help. 1.) the only coupons for woot are the ones they send you (usually gotten in a BOC) 2.) They are put in the coupon code box on woot at checkout. 3.) Ahhhh the WOOT-OFF. Ok here is what it is. Normally woot puts up one item for 24 hours. When it sells out, that's it for the day. But on rare occasions they will run a WOOT-OFF and when that happens, when one item sells out, they put up another. If you are a woot addict, prepare to not sleep for a while, the last woot off wat 3 DAYS LONG and like 60 items! It really is a lot of fun and they put up killer deals. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask here. We don't mind and we're nice (and so are 99.9% of the people on woot) CLICK HERE TO CHECK OUT WOOT .

| Hi there fan - I love woot too. Not too long ago I lurked around the forum and was afraid to join in. When I did I encountered some of the not too nice people, but there were enough nice ones for me to stay and learn. In the Everything Else place there is a thread called Posting 101 a safe place to ask your embarassing questions. It's pretty nonjudgemental there and some really helpful people seem to check on us newbies and help when they can. The codes they talk about were a total mystery to me at first. They are words in brackets that tell the computer how to make things look. I know that's a very simplified answer but it makes sense to me and I don't need much more of an explanation. There are some of them here in this forum.Another thing you'll see often in the woot forum is BOC. This stands for Bag of Crap. Every now and then they have a woot called Random Crap; it's an item that might be laying around the warehouse, might be good, might be bad, hence crap. Each Random Crap or BOC comes with a bag of some kind, a laptop carrying case, a paper bag, etc. If you ever get a chance to order Random Crap do it, each crap costs $1 and you can order up to three, always order 3, shipping for 1 to 3 is $5. Sometimes it's good crap, sometimes it's bad crap, either way you're only out $8 and the forum for the BOC is good entertainment.Hope some of this helps. The folks that run this site are regulars on the woot forums and seem to be really good people.Take care. Quote:

See the img in the brackets? This says "begin the image", then there's a URL which is the address where the smiley lives on the internet, then there's the /img in brackets which tells the computer "end the image". I messed up quite a few of these but finally mastered it. Good luck, see you on the Woot forums. |
