The Brain Power! program takes students in grades 4 and 5 step by step through an exploration of the processes of science and how to use these processes to learn about the brain, the nervous system, and the effects of drugs on the nervous system and the body. This package is designed to interest and educate students in an age-appropriate manner about their brains, why they should protect it, and how drugs such as nicotine and inhalants can hurt their brain. The parent's guide describes activities that can be done with the whole family and includes a listing of resources. The teacher's guide provides more in depth information, suggestions for activities for the classroom, and a list of resources.

McGruff's Surprise Party Comic Book

This comic book targeted to children features McGruff the Crime Dog, who talks to a group of kids about not smoking, taking illicit drugs, or drinking alcohol. As McGruff discusses the dangers of drugs, he and the kids arrange a surprise party, which turns out to be for the reader at the end of the book. Also included are activities for adults and children to complete together.
