For a limited time, not only will he help you score a fantastic deal on a summer vacation but he'll actually pay for your priceline vacation package if it rains a half an inch (0.50 inches) or more on at least half of your vacation days. The Sunshine Guarantee is absolutely FREE to priceline vacation customers and is not available on any other online travel site. Hey, that's just the way the Negotiator rolls. How Do I Get the Sunshine Guarantee? Just book your summer vacation package to any one of our top 100+ vacation destinations before July 17th 2008. Make sure your vacation departure date is between 7/1/08 and 9/7/08 for the Sunshine Guarantee to apply. Your vacation can be anywhere from 3 days to 8 days in length. Be sure to book your vacation package at least 12 days in advance as advanced purchase requirements apply. What is Eligible for the Sunshine Guarantee? The Sunshine Guarantee applies to the following components of your priceline vacation package: the entire cost of your hotel stay, airline tickets, rental car, attractions and services, and taxes and fees for all passengers in your vacation package. The cost of Trip Protection, if purchased, is not subject to the Sunshine Guarantee. How is the Rainfall Measured? For purposes of the Sunshine Guarantee, daily rainfall is measured at your destination airport and not at your hotel or other location. We'll show you which airport will be used to measure the rainfall for your vacation before your purchase is complete. The daily amount of rain that falls at your destination airport will be determined from measurements provided by the National Weather Service or other independent agency. Rainfall will also be audited by a private independent provider of weather information. Priceline will use the data provided by these agencies to determine if a refund applies. We will provide you a link to a website where you can monitor the amount of rainfall at your destination airport during and after your vacation. How Much does it Have to Rain in Order to get a Refund? In order to qualify for a refund, it must rain half an inch (0.50 inches) or more on at least half of your vacation days. The days you fly to and from your vacation destination airport are included in the count of your vacation days. The table on the right sets forth the minimum rain fall needed for you to qualify for a refund. How Do I Know if I Qualify for a Refund? If it rains during your vacation, you can go directly to the link we provide to you after you make your purchase and check the daily rainfall at your vacation destination airport. You'll automatically get a refund if it rains half an inch (0.50 inches) or more on at least half of your vacation days. Vacation days include your flight departure and return days. What do I have to do to get My Refund? Actually, you don't have to do anything. We'll automatically check the rainfall at your destination airport and mail you a complete refund if it rains half an inch (0.50 inches) or more on at least half of your vacation days. Your refund check will be mailed within 21 days of trip completion directly to the person who purchased the priceline package. Do You Give Partial Refunds? Unfortunately, partial refunds are not given. If the qualifying rain levels are not met you will not be eligible for a refund. Note: If any portion of your package is cancelled, the Sunshine Guarantee will no longer apply. |
