I stayed around in line, just in case cuz the woman in front of me, her husband was at Circuit City and said if he got the laptop there that she'd give me the HP. Well, he was far from ever getting the laptop at Circuit City. So I spent the rest of my day bitter and pissed off and spent way too much money to try to make myself feel better.

So, I came home and decided I better go ahead and get the Dell. I've got a Dell Inspiron 4100 right now that's over 3 years old and it's slowly falling apart and with the exception of broken keys, I haven't had much problems. I got the $399 deal but upgraded to 512MB RAM and the 15' screen. It comes out to be about $478 before shipping and handling. I did good, I think. I'm surprised to see the deal still up, it looks like it's staying up until 12/01/05, at least the $150 off.

Sorry to hear about your experience. It is kind of what I expected to see happen though.

Look at it this way though, you wound up with a much better quality laptop. I hope you use it to keep coming back to whatsyourdeal.com and to post in the forums

Have a wonderful holiday!!
